A workbench with boards and a breadboard, glowing current flowing through wires, Ohm the robot nearby

How the game works

Current instead of bullets

By day — scavenging runs and parts hunting. In the evening — the workbench and circuits. At night — the light that keeps the forest at bay.

01Rhythm

A day in Ohm Age

The transformer booth in a birch clearing and Ohm the robot at different times of day
  1. MorningCheck traps and the garden, boil water, have some fireweed tea.
  2. DayA run into the ruins: salvage tech, find parts, discover new places.
  3. EveningThe workbench: build a circuit, test it, watch the current flow. Dinner by the booth.
  4. NightOutside the light it’s dangerous: animals and storms. Stay in lit areas and protect your base.

02Salvage

Take everything apart

Every object yields its own set of parts — exactly what’s inside it in real life. New tools unlock new things to take apart.

  • Picture tube
  • Transformer
  • Speaker
  • Boards
  • Capacitors
  • Resistors
  • Transistors

A hundred years have aged every part. The multimeter tells you what still works. A dried-out capacitor may bulge and pop with a puff of smoke — that’s the magic smoke, and parts don’t work without it.

  7. Oscilloscope

03Workbench

Build a circuit. A real one.

This is the very first circuit in the game: a battery, a resistor and an LED. Pick a value, close the switch and see what happens. You can skip the resistor too — Ohm did warn you.

04Progression

Five ages

From a battery and an LED to transistors, microchips and the power grid of a whole district. Every age brings new devices and new places on the map.

  1. AGE 01

    Battery

    • Flashlight
    • Tripwire bell
    • Repairing Ohm

Inside: Circuits, current, voltage, Ohm’s law

  2. AGE 02

    Sun

    • Solar charger
    • Voltage regulator
    • Radio receiver

Inside: Diodes, charge and discharge, regulation

  3. AGE 03

    Induction

    • Electric fence
    • Stun baton
    • Pump
    • Drill

    Inside: Coils, transformers, capacitors

  4. AGE 04

    Chips

    • 555 blinker
    • Motion sensor
    • Sonic deterrent
    • Display

    Inside: Transistors, logic, sensors, sound

  5. AGE 05

    Grid

    • Micro hydro and wind
    • Substation
    • Lightning protection
    • District lighting

Inside: Power distribution and grid protection

05Difficulty

Difficulty per circuit

One workbench, three levels of help. You choose the mode for each device: build the flashlight on your own and the tricky amplifier with highlights. Nobody gets stuck.

LVL 1

Assembler

Spots on the board are highlighted and the parts are listed. Build and enjoy.

LVL 2

Engineer

You get the schematic but not the values. Don’t guess them — calculate them: the multimeter, a calculator and Ohm will help.

R = (9 − 2) / 0.015 ≈ 470 Ω

LVL 3

Inventor

No schematic. Just a spec. Any solution that works counts.

Spec: 5 V from 12 V, up to 100 mA, solar by day, battery by night

06Comfort

Electricity means comfort

Every new device makes forest life noticeably better. You feel the value of electricity in daily life, not just in numbers.
